Work and Fun

Monday night is usually my class night, but since GCTS is apparently so patriotic (or just enjoys a day off) I have a "reading night" for Columbus Day. Katie is (of course) at the hospital tonight. Been a rough stretch she's going through, but finally there is a small light at the end of the tunnel - vacation in 2 weeks! We are looking forward to getting away for our anniversary for a little bit and heading back to NJ to see family and friends.

Last night, some of Katie's family was in town - Ken, Michelle, Mike and Kyle - so that Mike could visit Emerson as he's looking into different theatre programs. He's crazy talented, so keep an eye out for him a few years down the road! You won't guess this, but Katie unfortunately was working again! But she let them know that they could "settle" for me, so they were kind enough to take me out to dinner on top of the Prudential Center at the Top of the Hub for some great food and a great view (as can be seen in the below pics):

Other than that, not much to report. We're making the most of the time Katie is out of the hospital exploring the local parks, eating some good food (Katie has discovered she has a love for sushi recently!) and getting to know more friends at the church and in Katie's residency program. One note: yesterday we were walking down the street and we went into a local shop which was filled with Christmas decorations already! Earlier and earlier each year...
